Days Go By

Not a lot has been going on since my last post....we have just been busy with everyday life. As my kids grow...especially Makayla, life seems to speed up...it is a different kind of busy. One minute you are busy feeding and changing diapers....and then you are busy running...running to school, preschool, ballet, piano....one thing that doesn't change...laundry...there is always way too much laundry!

Ringing In The New Year

I can't believe it is the start of another new year... sometimes I wish I could just slow everything down... stop my kids from growing up so fast and get caught up on all the things I never seem to have time to do. Here are just a few things I can't believe will happen this year...

-I will actually be applying to Dental Hygiene school

-Makayla will start 2nd grade

-Evan will turn 4... which seems SO much older than 3

-Maybe... fingers crossed... we might actually finish painting our house

Christmas Mess

Christmas this year was so much fun. We stayed the nigh at my parents house...they didn't want to miss the look on Evan's face when he saw the "big red dinosaur" he had been asking for since September. After pushing the bottom at Target for months to listen to it growl, he was amazed to learn that it also walks, stands up, moves it neck, and goes to sleep. After learning how truly "ferocious" his dinosaur is, Evan decided that it was not a toy for baby Caden because he was still scared of his Wolverine action figure (always so thoughtful). Makayla was in stuffed animal heaven, but I think her favorite part about Christmas is that she had her Aunt Megan with her. My parents got us a Wii (I was so excited) and apparently I have a hidden gift for not only Dr. Mario, but Wii tennis as well...I am still undefeated. The day after Christmas we loaded up our van and headed to Utah for visit. It was great to see family and friends and my new little nephew Parker. It was nice to come home and have this week to chill with the kids. My house is a disaster...Christmas mess, suitcases, laundry, and empty boxes are waiting for me to clean them up....However, that can all wait...this week has been all about sleeping in, playing with Christmas treasures, and just enjoying time together.
